This Mountain Wren (Troglodytes solstitialis) appeared from a thick bush at Hacienda El Bosque, a popular birding lodge at an altitude 11,000 feet (3,350 metres) in the Cordillera Central of the Colombian Andes.
This wren occurs as its common name implies along the Andes from Venezuela in the north to northern Argentina in the south up to the tree line.
