Redstarts Again: Daurian in Hong Kong
A flashy member of the same genus as the Black Redstart that is gracing Ayr's seafront this winter is the Daurian Redstart (Phoenicurus auroreus) of the Far East. It is a winter visitor to Hong Kong and this male was photographed on Saturday near Shek Kong.
